Publisher's Description:

HTML Image Splitter - Image Splitter is a powerful tool which allows you optimize images exactly for using them in Web.
With Image Splitter you can:
- Create sliced images, menus, rollovers;
- Make your web graphics load faster;
- Protect images from unauthorized copying.

Automatic selection of the most suitable image format (jpeg, gif or png) for each slice allows you to reduce size of an image in the best way.

You can select method of fragmentation. Your resulting picture looks exactly equal to the original one due to seamless integration of slices.

Image Splitter can dramatically speed up loading of huge images in your HTML pages. User's Internet browser will load slices of the picture simultaneously! Image Splitter allows you to use so-called "No Image" slice. "No Image" slice is an empty cell of the table filled with a color of the corresponding area of the source image. (Because "No Image" slices contain no image data, they can be downloaded more quickly).

Sliced and saved as GIF image contains much more colors than each slice. In other words, if you can save N slices of an image as 32-colors GIFs, you will get the image with 32xN colors maximum. With Image Splitter you can save your image in GIF format using more than 256 colours.

With this program you are able to split your picture for pasting in an HTML table without any delay! Every slice can be assigned with HTML tags HREF, ALT, TARGET, OnMouseOver, OnMouseOut. Built-in easy-to-use HTML editor helps you to manage an obtained html code.

Features of the program:
- BMP, JPEG, GIF and PNG graphic formats are supported
- Batch processing facility
- Auto selection of slice formats for image filesize reduction
- Auto color selection for No Image slices
- Rowspan/Colspan supporting
- Rollovers creating
- Built-in easy-to-use HTML editor
- Tags and events: ALT, TARGET, OnMouseOver, OnMouseOut are supported

Latest Changes:

- revised most of main functions (code generation, splitting, etc.); - new ability to merge and split slices. Image Splitter now supports rowspan/colspan tags. So you can create any possible slice layout; - ability to move splitting lines; - command line options removed owing to batch mode feature; - optimized memory usage, so the program can process bigger images. - undo now stores all slice layout changes; - new .isp file format introduced. That file stores graphic data and slice layout information; - .isp extension is registered as Image Splitter file. Does it work?

Yes it does work well, not sure if it's speeded up my load yet. You need also to have a little knowledge of HTML to cut and paste into existing web pages.

Nice Program

I've got some fairly heavy image manipulation programs (costing 100's of dollars), but most time, image splitting can be a real pain. Image splitter does this job exceptionally well and very accurately - I was so pleased with the evaluation, I bought it immediately.

It's particularly useful for people who buy website templates, especially CMS types. These usually have fixed size placeholders for graphic elements. With image splitter it's simple and fast to create image slices that fit seamlessly into template positions.

Two features you may like to consider incorporating in future editions is a slice positioning dialog where horizontal and vertical slice lines can be placed on the image by entering x and y coordinates. Moving the slice lines to exact positions with a mouse, especially on smaller images, can be a bit tricky.

The other feature I would like to see (although it may be in there somewhere already) is the ability to save all slices in one operation. I haven't seen how to do it if it is possible.

Anyway, nice application and good value for money!
